Quiz and Poll FAQs

What is the difference between a quiz and a live quiz?

A quiz can be answered through the app flow at the attendee's own pace, while a live quiz is hosted in real time by an admin and controlled question by question.

Why does an attendee not see the live quiz question?

Confirm the attendee selected the correct event and session, the host started the live quiz, and the attendee has network connectivity. Live quizzes use websockets — a stable internet connection is required.

Can attendees answer after the host advances?

Live quiz behavior depends on the current host-controlled state. Attendees should answer while the current question is open. Once the host closes answers, no further answers are accepted for that question.

Where are poll results reviewed?

Poll results are available from the admin poll result view after responses are submitted.

What happens if an attendee disconnects during a live quiz?

Live quizzes use websocket connections. If disconnected, the attendee can use the retry action to reconnect and continue with the current quiz state. Answers submitted before disconnection are preserved.

How are leaderboard ties resolved?

The live quiz leaderboard ranks by score. Where scores are tied, Zinvos applies its stored answer ordering to keep the result stable.

Why is the presenter view not updating?

Presenter view is a separate browser window intended for projectors or stage screens. Confirm the host has opened the presenter view URL and the browser has network connectivity. If it stops receiving updates, reopen the presenter view.

Can an attendee retake a standard quiz?

Standard quiz retakes depend on the quiz settings configured by the organizer. If retakes are disabled, the attendee's first submission is final. Check the quiz settings in admin.
