Payment Setup Workflow
Use this workflow when preparing paid registration for an event.
Confirm Platform Readiness
- Confirm with the Zinvos platform team that a supported payment gateway is enabled for the deployment.
- Confirm merchant credentials, gateway callbacks, and the public payment-link domain have been configured and tested by the platform team.
- Confirm the event will charge in INR.
Zinvos supports Airpay v3, Airpay v4, and Zoho hosted checkout depending on deployment configuration. Gateway selection is deployment-wide, not an event setting.
Configure Event Pricing
- Open the event's registration setup.
- Configure the registration categories the event will offer.
- Set the applicable price for each category in registration payment settings.
- Leave categories free only when that is intentional.
- Review the final prices with the organizer.
Configure WhatsApp Registration
If the event uses WhatsApp registration, complete the event WhatsApp setup and confirm that a payment link is delivered after a paid registration is submitted. The attendee completes payment in the browser opened from that link.
Test Before Launch
- Create a test registration for each priced and free category.
- Confirm the correct INR amount is presented at checkout.
- Complete a test payment where the provider permits it.
- Confirm the registration moves from pending payment to the expected confirmed state.
- Confirm the configured confirmation or ticket is delivered.
- Test an expired payment link and verify that a new link can be requested.
Go-Live Checklist
- The platform payment gateway is enabled and tested.
- Registration categories and prices are correct.
- Paid and free registration paths have been tested.
- Payment links work from the intended registration channel, including WhatsApp when used.
- Confirmation and ticket delivery have been tested after payment.
- Support staff know not to request a duplicate payment while a successful payment is being investigated.
