Payments

Zinvos supports paid registrations through the payment gateway configured for your deployment. Payment sessions are time-limited links that take an attendee to the configured gateway's checkout page.

Before You Configure an Event

Payment gateway selection and merchant credentials are deployment-level settings managed by the Zinvos platform team. Confirm that payments are enabled for your deployment before advertising paid registration. Current supported gateway options are Airpay v3, Airpay v4, and Zoho hosted checkout. All current registration payment sessions use INR.

Category-Based Pricing

Registration fees can differ by attendee category. For example, an event can charge students and professionals different amounts while allowing a faculty category to register free of charge.

  1. Configure the event's registration form and categories.
  2. Set the applicable price for each category in the registration payment settings.
  3. Test each priced and free category before launch.

The attendee's selected category determines the amount due.

When a registration requires payment, Zinvos creates a payment session and provides a secure link at /pay/{session}. Opening that link starts the checkout flow for the configured gateway. Airpay uses a browser form that submits to Airpay, while Zoho opens its hosted checkout page.

The same payment-link flow can be delivered in WhatsApp when WhatsApp registration is enabled. The attendee must complete checkout in the browser before the registration is confirmed.

Registration Status

Until payment is confirmed, a registration remains pending payment. After a verified gateway confirmation, Zinvos updates the registration and continues the configured confirmation and ticket flow.

Attendee Support Notes

  • If a payment link expires or was already used, ask the attendee to request a new link through the registration channel they used.
  • Do not ask an attendee to pay a second time when their gateway payment succeeded but the registration remains pending. Escalate with the event, registration details, and payment confirmation.
  • Checkout errors such as declined payments are handled by the payment provider. Ask the attendee to retry or use another supported payment method.
