Attendance and Checkout

Attendance and checkout features are used when the event team wants mobile-assisted scan flows.

Attendance Scanner​

The attendance scanner reads QR codes and submits scan data with device information. It shows success and error dialogs and uses haptic feedback where available.

Duplicate Scan Handling​

The app blocks or handles duplicate scans to protect attendance accuracy. If a duplicate message appears, staff should confirm whether the attendee has already been scanned for the same session or flow.

Attendance Badges​

Session cards can show attendance status after successful attendance capture.

Checkout Mode​

Checkout mode uses similar scanning behavior for checkout flows when enabled by the event team.

Organizer Support Notes​

  • Confirm the scanner is pointed at the correct QR code type.
  • Confirm the event, session, or checkout flow is active.
  • Confirm staff have the correct account and network access.
  • If a scan fails repeatedly, record attendee details and reconcile in admin after the event.
